Slight fare for strong animals

Western horses such as Quarters, Appaloosas, Paints and other breeds that were originally bred for beef work have strong musculature due to their genetics. At the same time they are often good at converting their feed into energy. This means that their feed has to be designed to provide a moderate supply of energy combined with a sufficient supply of the nutrients that are particularly important for muscles. If their dietary needs do not cover these requirements, then bones, tendons, ligaments and joints have to compete for the remaining nutrients. On a long term basis this can lead to deficiencies which cause premature deterioration in the animal. Sensible nutrition is therefore the basis for stability, strong nerves and proper digestion.

High-value proteins

St. Hippolyt NutriStar is designed to supply high-value proteins but a moderate overall protein content. The muesli is easily digested, includes top quality cold-pressed oils, herbs and dried apple and has been tried-and-tested, even in training programmes for particularly young horses.

Important coenzymes can only be supplied to the enzymatic system of stressed muscles for metabolic purposes by implementing a mineral programme that is well thought out in terms of nutritional physiology. Natural antioxidants such as vitamin E protect muscle cells from free radical attacks and thus ensure problem-free energy generation.
